Trust me. You will be so happy you took this tour with Mary. Amazing tidbits of local lore and history of Banff. Mary is such a genuine, friendly person that the walking tour felt like time spent with family. The stops to local restaurants and shops were so delicious. I have a few places on my “return to” list for my next visit to Banff. So, if you have a couple of free hours, definitely enjoy yourself. Thank you so much Mary and hope to see you again.

I’m a foodie. So when coming to Banff, I researched the food but decided that there were too many places I wanted to eat at and too little time! So I thought, why not see if there’s a food tour! And a few hours later, I met Mary – it was just us, so I got to ask a lot of questions and hear extra tidbits. Mary is a lovely, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable lady who shared with me the history, fun food facts, and great little stops in Banff – as well as some locally well-known info, like on resident area bears! I had a granola bar from Wild Flour bakery, chicken jerk soup at Coyote’s Southwestern Grill, a caramelized onion steak sandwich and sweet potato fries at Saltlik, a TON of different oils and vinegars at Evolootion (of which I bought many to take home with me!), and the most fabulous dark chocolate cashew turtle from Mountain Chocolates. She also gave me great ideas of restaurants and things to do in the area. The tour itself gave me so much local info that I surprised my husband’s coworkers with all kinds of interesting facts about the area at dinner. It is definitely worth the money, totally delicious and entertaining, and you’ll get a real local flavor for Banff!

With so many crowded restaurants in Banff, it was an absolute delight to have Mary (a foodie in her own right) take me on a tour of the best bites! We didn’t have to wait in lengthy line ups thanks to tables being reserved ahead of time. The quality of the food was phenomenal, I returned to Wild Flour the next morning for breakfast! Mary’s vast knowledge of Banff’s history kept the walks interesting and entertaining. A must do in Banff!

I’m a local and I would recommend locals and tourists alike take this tour to get to know some of Banff’s hidden gems! Thanks Mary!

Fantastic Food Tour: My Boyfriend and I recently went on the Best Bites in Banff Food Tour (Pilot tour) and it was AMAZING! Truly wonderful experience, the tour included a wonderful stroll by the river and along the way we stopped at a variety of shops and restaurants. The tour guide was lovely and the food was plentiful! I recommend NOT eating before going on this amazing tour. You are given enough time to look through the shops and are given a wonderful taste of the specialty items throughout the tour. The chocolate shops were to die for and you must try the “Murtle”. Highly recommended food tour
